MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! It's that time of year again all rushing around like headless chickens buying that last minute present or the maybe I need more food shop! For the first time in a long time I am ready with time to spare which clearly means I have forgotten something really important! However the last of the photography has been completed a baby shoot and a new homes shoot couldn't be more varied but still loving it and looking forward to even more next year! In the meantime I am preparing more images for competition and salons and hoping to get outside with the camera something I haven't managed to do for ages - a few candid shots are definitely needed! Well to all my past clients and hopefully future ones too thank you for allowing me the priviledge of photographing you and your families or your staff or products during this year and I wish you all a happy Christmas and a healthy New Year. As always if you are looking for a photographer don't hesitate to get in touch. A few recent images with my favourite being the new born baby and big sister!

Can't believe it is almost December! Where is the year going and oh what a year - without mentioning politics it certainly as been a roller coaster, but we have enjoyed great weather which even though winter has arrived with minus 2 this morning the sun is still shining and the autumn colours have been fantastic. Now the shops and streets are decked out for Christmas! I have even started my Christmas shopping unusual for me I am usually doing a frantic last minute dash for presents and food!!!
Photography has been especially fun this year and since my last post I have been kept very busy with business headshots, wedding photgraphy, show home photography, portraiture and musicians wanting to update their websites and advertising literature. I love that it has been so varied this year and in addition to the work in and out of the studio I have been concentrating on entering national and international salons and happy to have now received my BPE1 crown from the British Photographic Exhibitions. Still working towards DPAGB and at some point the ARPS with the Royal Photogaphic Society! So once again if you are looking for any photography feel free to browse the web pages or give me a call. Last minute presents of family images can also still be booked a few spaces left. A few images from recent shoots. Well it really has been a busy summer and what joy lots of time spent with the grandchildren giving me some good opportunities to sneak in a few family and child portrait shots! Besides spending time with family I have also spent a few weeks in France such a fabulous place and photography opportunities everywhere! In between time lots of work too fashion shoots, family shoots, car events and more new homes photography. Now looking forward to more fashion and model shoots and a corporate headshot shoot. Then I need to really start thinking about getting all my images together for another accreditation! As usual hope you enjoy the images and of course if you would like any photography, please contact me.
OMG where does the time go!!! My last update was in March and all I can say is I have been very busy!!! Not complaining well actually I am complaining, where is summer???? Let us just hope it is still round the corner!
Well the studio has been quieter than usual with only a handful of shoots but I have been very busy out on location shoots, which is of course why I am complaining about the weather! Trying to shoot inbetween downpours is not ideal for me or my camera gear! Still I have managed to get some good shots and make it look like we are in the middle of a fabulous summer thanks to lots of editing! The following weeks are busy with print orders, studio bookings and really looking forward to doing a model portfolio and another model location shoot which will hopefully be on a beach (weather please be kind)! I will post a few shots from recent shoots and as always if you are looking for some photography give me a call. My goodness where does the time go? Life has been busy as usual really can't complain - and besides doing photography have managed to spend lots of family time during half term holidays with 10 out of the 12 grandchildren! So some family portraits managed to also get updated! In the meantime I am working hard on getting some images ready for exhibitions and further accreditations. Have loved trying to be more creative with images but probably spending too much time learning techniques in photoshop! Further bookings are now confirmed for more commercial adverts as well as the normal studio bookings for models and family shoots. Here is a small selection from some recent work. Don't forget if you would like portraits or wedding photography contact me for availability.
Well now Christmas is firmly behind us and the New Year already forging ahead I thought I would share a few of my favourite images from 2015 and hope to have many more new images during the coming year. Last year proved to be a real mix of photography, from landscape, candid, commercial work, weddings and lots of family studio sittings, I had a whale of a time!
This year the studio has started out with a great fashion shoot soon to be followed by family portraits, and musician headshots and web and advert shoots. In the midst of all this I am working on another acreditation and also a personal project to hopefully put forward for an associate with the Royal Photographic Society, but well we will see how it all pans out! Don't forget that portraits aren't just for Christmas, they last a lifetime, so don't hesitate to contact me for either a family sitting or a personal portrait of your babies, children, grandchildren, teenagers or even yourself! Well here we are with Christmas almost upon us once more, really this year has passed in a flash - sorry about the pun! Lots of studio work, loved working with my musicians, even the gig photography was fun if not challenging. Lots of other photography too, interiors, location work and fashion advertising, it's been a great year I have been priviledged to work with some fabulous people and to be present at some beautiful weddings recording lifetime memories.
So here's to a New Year, wishing you all health and happiness for 2016 and hopefully a lot more photography too. Tess Well it certainly has been a busy summer several trips away including a wonderful trip to France and how lucky to get such good weather in late September, it was a feast of photography for me with time to try out some landscape shots and plenty of opportunity for candid shots with the many local markets! Sometimes it is nice just to have time to do some personal photography.
September was also a busy month for me with an old school reunion to organise - what a day such fun, meeting up for many of us after too many years to count or mention!!! Moving on I have been busy with both private and commercial work, loving the children photography you never know quite what you will get so always great fun and the location shoots have been particularly good, often better for small children to be outside in a favourite park or even their own gardens - just lovely natural shots of children being children! More musician photography including photographing the gear! P.R Headshots and sales team group shots and some internal show home photography, so you could say not only has summer been busy it has been a very mixed bag of photography and guess what I am still loving it!!! The horse event was fun too even if I was soaked to the skin and freezing cold but something completely different - well here are a few images from some of the shoots hope you like them. Now I guess it is on to the time of year when we have to start thinking Christmas like it or not! So as family portraits are always popular at this time why not consider a family shoot - images to keep and share!!! So happy to say I managed to achieve my CPAGB accreditation with the photographic alliance of Great Britain! But what a nail biting experience, 10 images judged at random alongside about 60 other photographers with six judges awarding points - have to say my nerves were really stretched! The tension in the room as the last of the images came up for judging was incredible! Still the trip up North for the adjucation was a good one and we tagged on a couple of days to tour round the beautiful Derbyshire countryside!
It's back to work now though - starting with a workshop on textures - followed by a studio shoot later in the week, and in between times have managed to finish off editing a location shoot and another wedding - just loving all this photography! A few images from recent work. Well o.k so perhaps I am not talking about the weather!! It certainly is a topsy turvy lot of weather we are having some great summer days and evenings, other days cloudy and bit dreary, to be honest a bit of a mixed bag, but even so for me the past weeks have been the greatest fun, car events, weddings, family shoots, a bit of commercial work, a fabulous fashion shoot and stretching myself photographing horses!!! There are still lots of bookings to fulfil, family shoot combined with an advertising shoot which I am really looking forward to, another wedding and some more commercial advertising work, so all systems go!!!
But before I get too carried away in the middle of all this excitment is my CPAGB accreditation - so fingers crossed! All my prints are now ready for judging so next blog I will either be rejoicing or going back to the drawing board!!! I will post a few recent images!! And thanks to all of you who share my blog there is no doubt that it helps with the bookings!!! |
